Art fair directors have a right to be assured that...
- artists are honest and forthright in the application process;
- the artist's booth at the show is a reasonable representation of the booth slide presented at jury, or is at least a reasonable extension of the artist's previous work, signature, or reputation;
- the work presented at the show has not been purchased for resale from a third party supplier, either in country or out of country;
- and that the artist will abide by the rules set forth by the art fair to which he/she applies,
reproductions, limited editions, attendance requirements,
and other such rules that protect the reputation and integrity
of the art fair and the art fair industry.
In short, the art fair director has the right to expect the artist's reputation,
honesty, and integrity to be above reproach.
